If you buy a houseplant at any major retail store – including companies like Lowe’s\, IKEA\, Whole Foods\, Costco\, Home Depot\, Trader Joe’s\, or Walmart – it’s likely your plant was grown by workers in Florida. At the bottom of the multi-billion-dollar houseplant industry\, thousands of mostly immigrant workers are experiencing a serious labor and human rights crisis.
