Melba Pearson, Esq. on Understanding Florida Law to Protect Ourselves in Street Actions: Open Discussion with LCA

February 24 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In the wake of Minneapolis, join us for an advocacy-centered forum focused on protest safety, community rights, and accountability, with a clear, practical breakdown of Florida law so people know how to protect themselves while exercising their right to protest. This space is about empowerment—not fear—and will include real-world safety tips, legal context, and answers to the questions advocates are asking right now. The forum will take place Tuesday, February 24, from 8–9 PM via Zoom. The discussion will be led by Melba V. Pearson, civil rights attorney, former homicide prosecutor, and nationally recognized legal analyst, known for translating complex law into tools communities can actually use. If there are specific questions you want addressed live, please email Lorenzo by February 23.
