This past Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron urged the creation of an alliance between Europe and Asia to avoid becoming “collateral victims” of decisions made by global superpowers. Macron said this at a forum attended by U.S. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. In an article posted by Telesur on 5/30/25, the French president emphasized that countries on both continents can achieve “tangible results together and convince others to join in building new alliances aimed at restarting a new world order based on rules.”
Macron also stressed the importance of achieving a cease-fire in Gaza and working toward the creation of a Palestinian state as the “only path” to resolving the conflict in the Middle East. “If we abandon Gaza, we lose our own credibility…the credibility to defend the global order.”
Sadly, for us, we are being perceived throughout the world as the main reason that the extreme right-wing Zionist government of Israel is being enabled to carry out its genocide. The bombs that we provide Israel, the money to buy munitions, the military help that we give by attacking the Houthis, the diplomatic cover we bestow at the UN Security Council that has impeded taking collective action to put an end to the genocide… All those deeds have given the world the sense that Israel has impunity to commit and defend the most barbaric acts because it has the USA’s backing.
It needs to be understood that the foreign policy of the USA is compromised by AIPAC’s control of the votes of many legislators through their contributions. As Akela Lacy of the Intercept 10/24/24 says, “Ahead of the 2024 cycle and amid growing public outrage over Israel’s war on Gaza, AIPAC made a bold pronouncement: Through its United Democracy Project arm and AIPAC PAC, it would spend $100 million on elections, about one-sixth of what outside groups spent on the 2020 presidential election.
“There are few congressional races that AIPAC sat out this year (2024). Of the 469 seats up for reelection this year, AIPAC has spent money on more than 80 percent: 389 races in total. AIPAC has sought influence over 363 seats in the House and 26 in the Senate.” As long as these “contributions” continue, our foreign policy decisions, especially regarding Israel/Palestine issues, will remain compromised. Plus, do you know any Zionist not supporting Ukraine in its conflict with Russia?
Many foreigners, and also many Americans are not aware of this “toxic relationship” between AIPAC and American legislators. Consequently, they believe that the reason the USA supports Israel has to do with values and principles. Nothing is further from the truth. The USA’s blind support for Israel all has to do with USA’s legislators being on the dole regarding Israel. And the USA is now, and has been for a while, under political leadership where receiving “donations” of this type provided by an ideological “brother” is completely acceptable.
The USA & Israel, ideological brothers? Absolutely. Both leaderships believe in access to unbridled greed and racial supremacy. Israel is carrying out a genocide helped by the USA providing ideological cover for their murder spree. But Israel’s excuses are rapidly wearing thin. Just recently more than 70 former participants of Eurovision wrote a letter requesting that Israel should be banned from Eurovision (Europe’s yearly song contest). Also, the Spanish publication Publico on 5/13/25 mentioned that a collective of 380 prominent movie stars among them Pedro Almodovar, Javier Bardem, Costa-Gavras and Mark Ruffalo denounced the genocide that is taking place in Gaza and the silence in the art world about the genocide. This denunciation was published in the French newspaper, Liberation May 12, 2025.
In a previous article of mine “Let’s Stop the Humanization of Zionism” 5/14/25 posted in several sites, amongst them Cubanews, I stated, “Israel should be banned from the United Nations. Israel should be deprived from any sense of normalcy in the family of nations. There is nothing normal about conducting a genocide. They should not receive any weapons or bullets that allows them to carry on with their genocide. They should be banned from FIFA and next year’s World Cup. They should be banned from participating in any international event. No cheering for genocide!”
Lately, we are seeing more and more nations taking a stand against Israel. As of May 22, 2024, 146 Nations of the 193 nations in the world have recognized the State of Palestine. Millions of people throughout the world are marching against the genocide including in England, arguably the USA main ally (Israel is not an ally, it is a proxy). The main fear of many is that Gaza will become the graveyard of International Law and of the basic principles of humanity and morality. As stated by Spanish Professor, Sonia Boulos from Nebrija University, “the civil population of Gaza, tired and dehumanized, is not just fighting for its own survival, but also fighting for an international order based on rules.” Our support for the genocide has made us partners in this atrocity.
If the USA continues to allow its proxy to continue to totally disregard basic human decency, we have then earned, the hatred of the world.

The USA’s Credibility Is a Casualty of The Gaza Genocide
